Tom joined UAG in 2019 and leads the purchasing department. He has eight years of construction management experience across various sectors and has procured over $650 million in subcontracts. As Purchasing Manager, Tom oversees UAG’s procurement strategy, subcontract negotiation and administration, and risk management. He strives to offer clients a risk-conscious procurement solution through broad superintendence and thorough analysis of every award. Prior to UAG, he was a Purchasing Manager at Shawmut Design and Construction where he led procurement for Shawmut’s retail, hospitality, and luxury residential divisions in New York.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the George Washington University, is a graduate of the US Army Engineer School, holds the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level II Candidate. In addition to his work at UAG, Tom is a Captain in the Army National Guard and is currently the Senior Instructor for New York State’s Officer Candidate School Program. He has been a Committee Member for Rebuilding Together NYC since 2019 and spends his free time outdoors hiking, climbing, and playing golf.
